Four distinctive layers of polymer clay and large, textured polymer clay beads embolden this necklace and earring set.
“How do you like it?” I ask my husband. “It’s big,” he says. Well, yes, it is. But big is in. And I like it. It’ll be great with just the right turtle neck.
This is a total departure from the other pieces I’ve made. The large pendant contains four layers of polymer clay, each shaded in its own distinctive colors and independently textured. The beads, both large and small, are polymer clay as well, with the exception of a few small beads that just begged to hang on this necklace.
I don’t quite know how I’d define it. I’m curious: What comes to mind when you see this necklace?

It sounds redundant, seeing as this is polymer clay, but I feel like it looks like natural clay colors. It looks very natural and earthy. I love the colors.

Thank you for the critique, Ellie. I agree – it does look earthy and natural. I tend to gravitate toward that.
